Mastercard and foodora campaign helps children
in need

We are supporting the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) in helping Ukrainian children affected by the conflict by supplying nutritious, daily school meals. As part of our partnership with foodora, the largest Czech platform specialising in food delivery, Mastercard has committed to donating the global average value of one school meal for every payment with Mastercard card from 27 July to 06 September 2023.

WFP will continue to work in close coordination with the Government of Ukraine provide daily hot meals in 58 schools across Kyiv oblast, with plans to expand this programme to other regions affected by the conflict in the next school year.

School meals not only improve children’s health, but they also encourage them to attend school. For many children around the world, a daily school meal is often the difference between a child staying at home to work and being able to complete their education. Going far beyond the plate of food, school meals can help generate a lasting impact for children and their families.
